OUR NORTH STAR
About Liv
Liv was a passionate friend, animal lover, gifted vocalist, comedian, and a proud member of the LGBTQ community. In high school she sang in multiple choirs, performed in the musicals, and was on the cheer team. Her voice was distinct, and her stage presence was captivating. She was spirited, stubborn, uproarious, and bursting at the seams with love.
Her kindness knew no bounds – except when it came to herself. Liv struggled most of her life with a non-verbal learning disorder, anxiety, and depression. Liv’s compassion and kindness for others were two of her finest characteristics, but she found it hard to show that same compassion and kindness to herself. Few people knew that she struggled because the Liv they knew seemed so happy. Liv often found it hard to reach out when she was struggling, and on January 8th, 2019, our beloved 19-year-old Liv took her own life.
We miss our sweet Liv, and hope that in sharing her story and developing creative tools and programs in her name, we can help unlock the fearless conversations that can save lives. Thank you for joining us on this journey, we’re so glad you’re here.
